What is it about pirates? What is it about the sea? Is it the freedom? The camaraderie? The romance? The treasure? The rum? I grew up far from the sea in St. Paul, Minnesota, but I sailed my first tall ship off the coast of Vancouver Island in 2005, I knew I wanted to spend my life finding out.
